![]() My husband bought me a copper jug and keep convincing that it is very good to drink water from it. I was quite doubtful to this vessel as I was thinking water is gonna taste like rust. After 2 days drinking from it, I start to drink more water and it taste just fine; I would say it tastes even better than from plastic jug. So I searched some information about it. It says, " Water stored in copperware is the boon of life. Purified, it helps to regulate digestion and cardiac orders - the basis of good health as practiced by Ayuveda and Rishis fro old vedic times. it has been known for thousands of years that copper alloy can inhabit the growth of bacteria, viruses and fungi. Our scriptures also ecommend the drinking of four glasses of water stored overnight in a copper utensil every morning." The disease-causing bacteria cannot survive for more than a few hours on copper surfaces" - by Centre of Applied Microbiology and Research, UK
